Paw

Pattern page is here.

It's a defiance. It's a refusal. It's a resistance.
Though it is in an unlikely form.

"Neko no te mo karitai. (I could use even a cat's paw)" is a Japanese idiom to say " I'm very busy." or "We're very short-handed."  So devastated that even a useless thing like a cat's paw seems good, and is welcomed.  Even though cat's paw is not expected to do anything useful. Cat's paw is not something one can control.  If it does something, anything, useful for you, however little that thing is, then lucky you are!

Now, in this world of speed and efficiency, a lot of people may want to use you for their benefit.  Of course, you don't want to be ordered to do something you don't want to.  You don't want to be used by anybody you don't like.  Your soul just says NO.  But at the same time, you don't have any courage to say NO in real.
Can't bear it anymore?  How about transforming yourself into something like a cat's paw?
Saying "Oh, yes, I'd be more than happy to help you." Smiling, eyes sparkling with enthusiasm.
And, doing nothing meaningful. Not intentionally, oh, no (grin).

You have the risk of losing your reputation, of course.  Worse, your position.  But instead, you will defend your pride by not being used.  It might be the last option in the worst of situations, but there it is, as anyone's LAST option.

Until then, let's do our part.  This soft Paw is a reminder that you have a choice to defend yourself, if not in a smart way.

At first, I just wanted to make something completely useless, but the finished one is found to be a perfect throwing object at kids (who are old enough to understand jokes and have the ability to throw back light object).
